Quintin’s Ice Cream was founded in late 1998 by Quintin Quinlivan, a former Pastry Chef, to produce Ice Cream and Sorbet for local restaurants and hotels. He first rented a small space in the closed Gold Seal Dairy in Mid-City and later moved his production to his own property in the Irish Chanel in early 2002. During that time, he has formed relationships with local chefs to produce unique flavors of ice cream and sorbet, and he continues to do that for upcoming local chefs. We at Quintin’s Ice cream have always enjoyed coming up with new and unique flavor for our customers.
Quintin Quinlivan is a native of New Orleans and grew up with food being a center of all family events.
His first experience with ice cream, was as a child having to turn the hand crank ice cream freezer with his brother and cousins at the family farm in Missouri.
Quintin started to pursue his pastry career in 1984 and has worked in various hotels as a Pastry Chef in New Orleans, Dallas and Sedona, Arizona.
